EVENT AGENDA
12:30 - 1:00 PM CST: Event attendees may access the online event space as early as 12:30 pm CST. We recommend joining the event 5-10 minutes before official programming starts at 1:00 pm to acclimate to the platform.
1:00 – 3:00 PM CST: Main program. All employer attendees should navigate to their assigned table (a list of tables and their locations will be distributed separately). Students may move freely between tables.
3:00 – 3:30 PM CST: Event access will remain open until 3:30 pm to allow attendees to wrap up conversations.

A Note on Taking Breaks:

If you need to take a momentary break during the event, please do not occupy a seat on an active floor as open seats are necessary to maintain movement between floors. Please navigate to Floor 1 before deactivating your camera and phone.

GENERAL TIPS
·       Joining the Event: Join the event as early as 12:30 pm CST.
·       YouTube Video Tutorials: There are some short video tutorials on how to use Remo, including this (2 minutes) and this (6 minutes), that you may want to review ahead of the event.
·       Moving Floors: Navigate between floors using the “elevator” menu on the left side of the screen.
·       Make Sure Your Camera and Mic are On: You and others may not be able to “see” you at the table unless your camera is on. If an individual is at your table with their microphone and/or camera off, they will still be able to hear and see you if you have your camera and microphone on.
·       Clicking and Dragging, Zooming In and Out: Click and drag the space background/map to navigate around the room. You can also zoom in and out using your mouse or trackpad.
·       Random Table Placement: When you first arrive at the event, and anytime you move floors within the event space, Remo will place at a table randomly. If you need time to locate a specific table after moving to a new floor, we recommend that you move to a “Wildcard” table while reviewing your options. If you land at a table where you do not want to be, in most cases you will be able to move quickly to a different table without disturbing any existing conversations. However, it is also fine to say hi, explain that you are switching floors, and immediately excuse yourself. You may also consider turning your camera and microphone off while you are switching floors to minimize disturbances.
·       Viewing Profiles of Other Attendees: You can see the profile information for attendees at each table by clicking on the attendee’s avatar.
·       Using the Chat Feature: Use the chat function in the bottom navigation bar to view a list of all active attendees. You can privately message a specific attendee; you can message just your table with information relevant to the conversation; or you can message all attendees.
·       Toggle between Tile and Floor View: Use the Tile View/Floor View button (leftmost on the toolbar on the bottom of your screen) to toggle between enlarged videos of those at your table and smaller videos with a fuller view of the floor map.
TECHNICAL ISSUES AND TROUBLESHOOTING
:·       Help Table: There will be a Help Desk on the first floor of the event. If you have any questions or issues, please navigate to that table for assistance from a MPILCC staff member.
·       Chat Support: For technical issues, you can also use the built-in chat feature in the lower left-hand side of your screen to speak to a member of the Remo support staff.
·       Email for Support: If you are unable to access the platform and need assistance, please email employer@mpilcc.org
·       Troubleshooting: Find solutions to common connectivity issues on Remo’s Troubleshooting page.
COMMON ISSUES
·       Connected to VPN: You must disconnect from your VPN to join Remo events.
·       Camera / Microphone in Use by Other Applications: Please close other applications that may be accessing your camera or microphone, such as Zoom or WebEx.
·       Browser or Device: A list of supported devices and browsers can be found here. Tablets are not supported. For the best experience, we recommend connecting via a desktop or laptop computer.
·       Camera / Microphone Not On: You must have either your camera or microphone on for others at your table to interact with you. If someone appears to be at your table but you do not see a screen for them, they have both their camera and microphone off. Note that they can still see and hear you if your camera and microphone are on.
